Estates & downsizing

Settle a parent’s home, together.

Write down everything in the house, room by room. Invite your brothers and sisters. Let everyone ask for what matters to them, and keep a record of where each thing went.

Free to start, no card · Family joins free · $99 once for the whole house

A family around a dining table with a photo album and a ring box.

How it works

Five steps, in the order a family lives them.

  1. 1 The house

Start with the rooms as they really are.

Make a project for the house and add its rooms: the attic, the garage, that closet you’re afraid to open. Boxes and shelves go inside rooms, the way things are actually stored.

  2. 2 Get it all down

    A photo is enough.

Walk room to room with your phone. Take a picture and KindlyQR names the item and files it where you’re standing. Print QR labels for the boxes; scan one later to see what’s inside without opening it.

  3. 3 Bring the family in

Everyone sees the same house, from wherever they live.

Invite brothers, sisters and helpers by email or with a link. They can look through every room, ask for things and talk about them on the item itself. Invited family never pay.

  4. 4 Decide, kindly

Your grandmother’s ring shouldn’t end up at a garage sale.

Mark heirlooms and the person they’re for. Offer the rest to the family: anyone can ask for what they’d like, and you approve or say not yet. The conversation about an item stays on the item, not in the group chat.

  5. 5 Settle it

Finish with a record of where everything went.

The final report lists every item and where it ended up: who took it, what was given away, what was sold. List the rest on FleaMarket, with no fees. Keep the report for the family and the executor.

Questions

What families ask first.

Do my brothers and sisters need to pay?

No. One person starts the estate project; everyone they invite joins free, as many people as you need.

Can we try it before paying?

Yes. Every account can run one estate free with up to three people and 100 items. The $99 unlock comes when you need more people, more items or the final report.

What if two people want the same thing?

Both requests show on the item, and the person running the project decides. Heirlooms can carry a named recipient from the start, so the hardest ones are settled before anyone asks.

Does Mom need an account?

Only if she wants one. If she joins, she sees the whole house as it’s catalogued and can say what matters to her and who it should go to.

We’re working with a move manager. Can they run it?

Yes. Professionals run estates for their clients on the Pro plan, and the family joins free.

A miniature clay world: a house with its roof lifted off, a garage of labelled bins, three small houses on hills and a village square with a market stall.

Start with one room. The rest of the house will follow.
